Cleaning and earaches

I cleaned some more today, and as its a neverending process, I gather I'll be doing it tomorrow too hahah!!
Tomorrow night is Sydney's school Christmas Program (it was canceled in December due to ice). So that should produce some fun pictures.
Its almost 7pm and Ash isn't home yet. I can't decide what to fix for supper, either. I put a roast in the crockpot this morning, but I only had potatoes and onions, I thought I had carrots, but didn't... Sooooooo I might have biscuits and gravy and add the carrots later, but that would involve "work" so we might just have carrot-less roast heheh.
Well, anyway, not much else going on around here... I didn't post last week about it because I forgot to, but last Tuesday we had to take Trey to ImmediateCare at 10:30pm because he was screaming with an earache. He NEVER complains about feeling bad, so we knew it was serious. It ended up being infected and they gave him some drops, and abx (which he didn't actually take all of, but that's a whole other story lol), and some Tylenol w/ codeine, which he never had to take fortunately. But ----- now *I* have an earache!! lol figures, huh???

iPod Heaven

Well, after about a year and a half, I finally got my iPod charged and own earphones that fit it - AT THE SAME TIME!!! Yay me!!! I'm so excited I can grocery shop to tunes again and not have to hear anyone speak to me!! :-) (Ya, I'm like that lol)

As for the sicknesses around here, well, I'd hoped we were on the upswing - everyone had seemed well yesterday.... until bedtime when Ally threw up on the couch which was far from pleasant, but we got her all cleaned up and she was fine. Then Syd woke up with a headache today, and I was giving her a "make over" and realized she felt really hot... yeah - 102 temp all day. It got as high as 102.5 around 5-6pm but I finally convinced her to take some tylenol and its gone down now and she feels much better. So basically, I'm just wondering who will wake up sick tomorrow. This is day 10 now... Surely its leaving sooooooooooooooon!!!!!!

Ooooo it STINGS!!!!

I feel like I've either a: swallowed a gallon of acid b: grown fever blisters in my throat or c: both. I've tried everything except straight tequila to ease the pain, to no avail... *sigh*

Well, Ally still hasn't gone to school. I don't know whether I should send her tomorrow or not, either. She still looks weird in her eyeballs, and just lays around on the couch or in my bed the entire day and won't eat, and barely drinks. She didn't seem to be running a fever today, so that is an improvement. I just hate her missing a whole week of school.

As for Trey - if he isn't better by tomorrow I guess I'll call the pediatrician and see if there is anything we should be doing besides feeding him Ibuprofen and trying to force liquids. He hasn't eaten a meal since Saturday, but he's finally started ASKING for drinks today, which is either a good sign, or an indicator that he's dehydrated. He has diarrhea but its not often or anything - just 1-2x/day. (He'd love to know I'm discussing his poop online HAHA!!) He just is so lifeless, and not himself. He was still running a 100-101 fever today on and off. He did eat some rice for lunch, so that was definitely an improvement.

Syd went to school today and happily brought home Ally's Valentine's Day goody bag.

I'm FEELING better, but my lungs are heavy and I sound like I swallowed a St. Bernard (probably the same time I swallowed the acid I previously mentioned.) I went and bought myself some Robitussin though - not the cough kind, but the expectorant/chest/nasal decongestant. It tastes worse than crap, and I can't tell if it's working, but I'm gonna pretend like it is. (It tastes so bad that, in fact, that I gave Ally some and she gagged three times, then threw up about 6 min later.)

Sickness all around

Man, I thought I was sick at the beginning of the week... That was nothing compared to now. Trey-Trey even had to come home early from Nana's because he was throwing up yesterday morning and wanted Mom. So we drove to Sullivan to pick him up and had dinner with my parents. Cheesy Grillers... MMM-good! (Even if it does look like a big severed finger [among other things] on my plate.) LOL

Fever Fever Everywhere

Trey was still running a fever today, but Ibuprofen has him jumping on the bed again. (I totally just typed "has him humping on the bed again" and realized my mistake - lol, yeah, that's quite a few years away!!) Anyway............... So he slept nearly all day, then woke up when Charles got home and was fine again once it was time for more medicine. Then I realized Ally was asleep on my bed and not watching cartoons afterall. She came in the living room a few hours later bright red and running a 102 temp. After nearly having to pour it down her throat she finally got the medicine down. Now they are both not realizing they are sick because they feel so much better and don't want to get to sleep - it's 12:53am. About three hours ago I realized that my throat was feeling pretty scratchy and my head was a little dull feeling, so I take my own temp - 100.2, but I am TOTALLY ignoring that and pretending it said 97-something like it normally does. :-)

Do any of you watch Grey's Anatomy??? Yeah, I'm freaking out here. They CANNOT kill off Meredith, right?? The frikkin' show is NAMED after her for crying out loud. *sigh* Poor McDreamy. (He will definitely be added to my eye candy Friday later today - I've been putting together this week's group in my mind all week hahaha!!)

More sickness

Sydney had been sick the end of last week, and Ally has had the sniffles for days, but the house had been relatively "sick free" for two days and I was hoping that nobody else was going to get it... I should have known better, huh? We went out to eat at "Cracker Beller" for supper and Trey didn't want to eat. Now, he never eats much, but he never totally avoids his food. Especially since it was about 4:30 and he hadn't had lunch, so normally he would have been famished. But he didn't touch anything. He was shaking and couldn't get warm, then finally fell asleep in my arms while I finished eating. So we brought him home and he was running a fever so I went to get him some Tylenol. When I got home he was sleeping so I didn't wake him to give him the medicine. So when he woke up he was VERY hot. After giving him some tylenol (actually Ibuprofen) I took his temp and he's running a temp of 102.3. Poor little guy. The tylenol helped already though, and he's at least sitting up and eating some trail mix/granola.

There's a blizzard coming my way!!!

Poor Sydney, she's had a really rough weekend. On Thursday I had to pick her up from school because she was throwing up and she was sick 2x otw home, then 2x more that night. Friday she had a 102ish fever most of the day (Ibuprofen did help take it down). Then all weekend she was doing fine. Last night she spiked a 103 temp again so I kept her home again today. I was talking to her teacher via email and she was going to leave me her homework in the office to pick up if she was still sick tomorrow, but said she thought there would be a snow day tomorrow. I was like whaaaa? So I looked up on our local news and this is what I found!!! LOL

Are you KIDDING me!?!?!

UPDATE: Now they have added a few inches up north and moved the line down meaning likely more snow here, too...

UPDATE 2: Changed again... now we are in the 6-12" range - oh yay...
