Upcoming TV Shows and a Movie Review & Previews

I hope I'm not boring you too much w/ TV and movie and music talk lately but hey, it's my blog and I'll post what I want HAHAHA!!!

We watched some pilots of upcoming fall shows today.

Chuck: very funny... and a little different - usually you don't have "action-comedies" in prime time lol.

Bionic Woman: It was ok - Charles liked it alot. He used to love the original but it was on when I was like 2, so I don't remember it.

Journeyman: Very good, but very confusing. I really liked it though when I could keep track lol...

We are watching Fracture and so far its really good! And it doesn't hurt that my boyfriend is in it hehe!!

TRAILERS:
Reservation Road
Feast of Love
Sydney White
I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With
01-18-08 (But if this turns out to be Godzilla I'm gonna be SORELY disappointed!!)

More TV commentary...

LOL Can you tell I've watched a lot of TV lately??????

Since I can't sleep, I watch documentaries at night... Over the course of a few nights I've been watching this one: When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts. Its very political and very Spike Lee, but it jives with my opinion with the BS that happened in New Orleans after Katrina. I learned quite a bit from this documentary - for instance, I didn't know Sean Penn was down there wading neck deep in the water rescuing people - did you?? As if I needed ANOTHER reason to love Sean Penn hehehe...

Ok, so as mentioned in my last post I was gonna watch the new HBO show Tell Me You Love Me tonight, and we did. Admittedly, there is probably too much gratuitous (not to mention graphic) sex, but the show is really good. HBO has been making some great shows lately and I don't think that this one is going to disappoint either... We'll see - only two episodes have aired so far, but the three couples and their issues immediately grab your attention and you just really wanna know if they will end up together or not. The therapist (played by Jane Alexander) is like a therapist I would love to talk to every week. There is just something about her that is really believable lol. (I will put yet another disclaimer on this show lol... there are LOTS of GRAPHIC sex scenes, so if you DO watch it, don't be surprised.) ^^

Big Love coming back next year YAY

Renewed for a Third Season

Official Site

Hooray!! LOL We love this show! We started watching Six Feet Under just as the series was ending, and we were so happy when Big Love came out because it was new and different than anything else on TV. We never got into The Sopranos, though. There is a new show that started last week (Tell Me You Love Me). It supposed to be really raunchy and getting some bad press, but I intend to watch the two episodes that are available OnDemand tonight and give my own opinion lol...

*sigh* CSI: Miami...

Ok, so I am a huge CSI fan. I love all things CSI: Las Vegas, Miami, New York, I watch them all... But!! Why did the writers decide to give a "nod" to Britney Spears and her stint in rehab and her shaving her head?? It did nothing for the plot of the show and seemed like a serious afterthought. Here is a blurb I found about at TV Squad:
Most unexpected scene? That random nod to Britney Spears at the end of the episode. I'm not sure what the message was supposed to be, but an obvious Britney clone was checked into the rehab center, went to her room, snorted some coke, and shaved her head.

I think everyone needs to just stop obsessing about Britney, personally. lol I mean who CARES if she shaved her head?? Maybe her head was just itchy, like Pedro. :-)

M&Ms Commercial

This is very cute!

M&Ms Dark Chocolate

LOL Which reminds me ... when I was a kid I wasn't allowed to watch The Addams Family! Actually, I wasn't allowed to watch The Munsters, or Bewitched, Sanford and Son, Three's Company, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, or even Smurfs. But don't feel too bad for me, I was able to enjoy other things like M*A*S*H, Square Pegs, The Electric Company, The Brady Bunch, ALF, Quicy M.E., Family Ties, CHiPs, Rags to Riches, and Boone (which is funny now that I look back since I AM a Boone now lol...)

Toe-Up Socks

I've been playing around with my new Addi Turbo, and trying some Toe-Up Sock patterns. I haven't actually made any socks, just been doing the cast-on and making some toes. Let me tell you, the Turkish Cast-on makes some CUTE toes!! I will gather some good links that explain this, and hopefully make one I'm not ashamed of and post a pic of my own hahaha!

So Charles has decided he wants to start watching 24 so we are renting Season 1, four episodes at a time. I was really bored with the 1st episode, but we are starting episode #3 right now and I am sort of intrigued as to what is going to happen with his daughter. The idea behind this show is kinda cool, I suppose, at least its original. (And they don't have to spend much time and effort on costumes since the whole season takes place over one day...)
