How Cool My Daughter Is...

So we are driving in the car the other night and she says out of the blue - "You know that artist, Andy Warhol?" I'm like, "Uh, yeah?" (totally excited inside that she brought up the subject lol). She says "Well, I saw his Marilyn Monroe's today, and his Endangered Species..." I said, "Did you like them?" This conversation went on for a while, then she started talking about Van Gogh and "Starry, Starry Night". I was on cloud nine that she knew about such cool art lol.

AND THEN!!!

The song on the radio changed and she said, "Is this Led Zeppelin?" And my little heart just broke into tiny shards of lovingness because it was indeed, Led Zeppelin lol...

I told her I was totally gonna blog about how cool she's become lately!! :)

Our Syd is becoming a young Butterfly isn't she!! Such a young lady she will be. And well versed, too. I like it when we are driving to my house and she asks to listen to the music that we can "make up the movies in our heads". We listen to all of the great musicians play the "long haired" music and say what we "see" in our minds. She can be very deep sometimes. We can have some wonderful talks, she is a terrific person to know. But then I am her Nana.

Yeah, she's gonna be really cool I think when she grows up. I hope so lol I try to raise cool kids. :)

She loves listening to classical music with you, too and talking about what it brings to mind. She talks about that alot.
